सरकार का खेल साफ़ है — उन्हें शिक्षकों को वेतन देना बोझ लगता है। उनका सोचना है कि “अ से अनार” और “ए, बी, सी, डी” पढ़ाने वालों को इतना वेतन क्यों दिया जाए।

नई शिक्षा नीति (NEP) को देखिए, बच्चों की पढ़ाई से ज़्यादा यह शिक्षकों को काग़ज़ी कामों में उलझाने की योजना है। धारा 7.10 में तो साफ़ लिखा है कि सरकारी विद्यालयों का निजी विद्यालयों में विलय किया जाएगा।

आने वाले पाँच वर्ष शिक्षकों के लिए सबसे कठिन दौर होंगे।
